Becoming A Makeup Artist

Becoming A Makeup Artist

Makeup artists definitely have a passion for art and beauty. They utilize their hands and vision to make a woman look stunning. I am amazed at how a plain looking girl can be transformed into a gorgeous woman because of the magic of makeup. Techniques are ever changing that is why if you want to be a makeup artist by profession then you will have to be willing to learn and go to makeup school. If you happen to live in Southern Ontario, there are a couple of makeup school in Mississauga you could go to.

Get your makeup kit ready with the basics like eye shadow palette, lipsticks, blush, mascara, foundation palette, face powder, eyeliner, and brushes. To learn as much as you can, you have to always practice. Any chance you have to learn and grow in your craft you must take. Practice on yourself and if you think you did a good job, take pictures and post them on your social networking sites. Probably the most important thing is to have the confidence that you can be a great makeup artist. Believe in yourself first so others will believe in you. Work hard and in no time you will be a popular makeup artist in Mississauga or any place you want to be famous in.

Make up artists have some kind of “art” that cannot be captured easily especially because they work on actual faces and people – not canvas or so. It probably takes awhile to be an awesome one!

Even though I want to become a makeup artist, I still can’t get the hang of combining colors. I think good makeup artists know how to draw using pencil and paper too :)

Becoming a makeup artist can be both intriguing, challenging, as well as fun. Definitely love the challenge too. I am not good at blending all sorts of color, but I am hoping someday I will get better at it.

I have this big admiration towards make-up artist because they are so passionate on what they do. Also, for me, doing make up is not easy what more if you are going to do the make-up of other people on different occasions and theme.

I am a makeup artist and I cannot draw for toffee, however you give me a face and somehow It just all comes so easy to me. Ask me to draw a cat on a piece of paper and I wouldn’t know where to start lol. However one of the things i am known for in the industry is painting faces to look like cats. I have even been lucky enough to work on a few big film and theater projects.
