How To Throw A Successful Pool Party

How To Throw A Successful Pool Party

As the summer months begin to bring warm weather our way, everyone is looking for a way to beat the heat. While sitting indoors with your air conditioning blasting is one good choice, a better way to stay cool, while also having a great time, is to throw your very own pool party! Having a swimming pool is a great addition to any home and provides the perfect scene for a small get together with friends or an all out party with a great group of mates. When planning your pool party this summer, however, there are a few things you should keep in mind to ensure that everyone has the perfect summer day.

Food & Drinks

A major concern for many party hosts is what food and drink to serve – whether you’re throwing a pool party or simply a house party. When it comes to planning the perfect pool party, always remember that your guests will be outdoors, most likely in the sun, for extended period of time. Providing snacks or a barbecue, along with lots of cold water, will ensure that your part goers stay hydrated throughout the day.

Fun & Games

No pool party would be complete without some silly fun and games. The great thing about a pool party is that the main attraction is already there, all you have to do is add a few fun extras, which won’t break the bank. Grab some water pistols, pool noodles and other aquatic games to make your pool party stand out from the rest.

Keep Your Pool Clean

While the only thing you may be thinking of is what kind of foods you want to serve and what games to play, it is important to remember that the cleanliness of your pool will play a huge role in whether or not your guests have a memorable time. Using the right chemicals in your pool, days before the actual party, will ensure that your pool is clean and hygienic. Reputable companies, such as the team as Alliance Pool Stores can provide excellent advice when choosing what cleaning products are right for you.

Sun Safety

When it’s all fun and games the only thing you’ll be thinking about is getting everyone into that pool to have a good time. The day before your party, head down to the shops and stock up on some sunscreen and zinc. If you’re friends get sunburnt on the day, that’s all they’re likely to remember about your party – and you definitely don’t want that. When sending out your invites for the party, make a little note at the bottom that reminds everyone to bring their sunnies and even a hat. While you may not see this as adding fun to your party, no one likes to feel the effects of harsh UV rays when they’re trying to have a good time.

Once you’ve checked all of the boxes above, you’re set to throw the perfect pool party. Always remember to get your pool cleaned before your guest arrive, stock up on plenty of water and have lots of sunscreen on hand… all that’s left to do is to have an amazing time with your friends!

Hi there, i read your blog occasionally and i own a similar one and i was just curious if you get a lot of spam responses? If so how do you protect against it, any plugin or anything you can suggest? I get so much lately it’s driving me mad so any assistance is very much appreciated.

The hardest part that you will just encounter is cleaning all the mess after the pool party. Be sure to include it in your plan on how will you perform the cleaning session and the person who could help you. :)
