Online Shopping On The Rise In The US

According to a popular shopping site, online shopping in the US has become more prevalent in recent years. Various methods of shopping are used by consumers as what can be deducted from a National Retail Federation survey. This survey says that 5% to 7% of adult Americans use their mobile phone to compare prices while shopping. Another fact is that an estimated 80% of American shoppers think that the best shopping deals can be found online. In February, 2013 it was reported that 5 billion minutes were spent shopping using tablet computers. Furthermore, an estimated 289 billion US Dollars in revenue was recorded in 2012 brought about by online shopping. According to ComScore, an average of $274 was spent in the first quarter of 2013 by a typical desktop user while shopping online. Thus, the high revenue recorded.
